Returns & Warranty Policy

At Oddstash, we sell freestyle scooters and parts built for real riding. Many of our products are designed to withstand heavy use at the skatepark, and normal wear from riding is expected. This policy explains what we can and can't accept for returns, and how warranty claims are handled. Please read it carefully before purchasing.

1. Change-of-Mind Returns (7 Days)

If you change your mind, we accept returns within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is:

  • Unused and uninstalled
  • In its original, undamaged packaging
  • Complete with all tags, parts, and accessories included
  • Free of any signs of mounting, riding, scuffing, or modification

Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is paid by the customer. We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot be responsible for returns lost in transit.

Once we receive and inspect the item and confirm it meets the above conditions, we will process your refund to the original payment method. There is no restocking fee.

We are unable to accept change-of-mind returns on:

  • Items that have been installed, used, or ridden
  • Grip tape that has been cut or applied
  • Bearings, wheels, or any consumable parts showing use
  • Items returned without original packaging
  • Sale or clearance items (unless faulty)

2. Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives defective, damaged in transit, or you received the wrong product, we'll make it right.

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue
  • For confirmed faulty or incorrect items, we cover return shipping (we'll arrange a prepaid label or reimburse reasonable tracked postage)
  • The remedy for a confirmed defective item is a replacement of the same product (subject to stock)

This applies to genuine manufacturing defects or shipping damage — not to damage caused by use, impact, or installation.

3. Manufacturer Warranty Claims

Many of the brands we carry (such as Envy, Ethic, Root Industries, Tilt, and others) offer their own manufacturer warranties against manufacturing defects. As an authorised retailer, we facilitate warranty claims on your behalf with the brand, and the outcome is determined by the manufacturer's warranty terms.

How a warranty claim works:

  1. Contact us with your order number and clear photos describing the issue
  2. We assess the item and, where appropriate, submit the claim to the brand on your behalf
  3. The manufacturer reviews the claim against their warranty terms
  4. The manufacturer's decision (approve, decline, repair, or replace) is final, and we pass the outcome back to you

Warranty coverage, duration, and remedies vary by brand and are governed by each manufacturer's published warranty terms. We can only honour what the manufacturer approves.

4. What Is NOT Covered

Freestyle scooter products are subjected to substantial stress during normal use. The following are considered normal wear or rider-caused damage and are not eligible for returns, refunds, or warranty:

  • Wear and tear from riding (worn wheels, bearings, grip tape, brakes)
  • Flat-spotted or worn wheels caused by braking, skidding, sliding, or power-sliding (this is normal wear from riding, not a defect)
  • Cosmetic scuffs, scratches, and finish wear
  • Cracks, bends, breaks, or deformation caused by impact, hard landings, or tricks
  • Damage from misuse, abuse, neglect, improper assembly, or modification
  • Damage from use beyond the product's intended purpose
  • Loosening of bolts/parts from normal riding (routine maintenance is the rider's responsibility)
  • Products used in commercial, rental, or competition settings unless the manufacturer's warranty explicitly covers it

Damage of this kind reflects the product working as intended under hard use, and is not a fault.

5. How to Start a Return or Claim

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photos (for faulty items or warranty claims)

We'll respond with next steps. Please do not send items back without contacting us first.

6. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act or any other applicable consumer law. Where goods are not of acceptable quality or do not match their description, you are entitled to remedies as provided by law.
